Terms of Service
The rules for using the GoiSmile dental booking app.
Medical disclaimer: GoiSmile is not a medical provider and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. The symptom guidance in the App is informational only and is not a substitute for professional dental advice. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services or go to the nearest hospital.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By creating an account or using the GoiSmile mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Who Can Use GoiSmile
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- You must provide accurate information when you register.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
- You may not use GoiSmile for any unlawful purpose.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@goismile.com.
4. What GoiSmile Does — and Doesn't Do
GoiSmile does:
- Connect patients with dentists and dental practices
- Allow you to book, reschedule, and cancel appointments
- Enable messaging between patients and dentists
- Provide informational symptom guidance (not a diagnosis)
GoiSmile does not:
- Provide dental or medical care
- Diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition
- Employ the dentists listed on the platform — they are independent practitioners
- Process payments on behalf of dentists — you pay the practice directly
5. Health Information and Triage Guidance
The symptom triage feature asks simple questions and provides general guidance based on your answers. It is not a diagnosis and should never replace a professional consultation. You are solely responsible for seeking appropriate medical care.
6. User Content
"User Content" means anything you upload, post, or send through the App — including reviews, messages, profile photos, and symptom descriptions.
You are responsible for your User Content. By submitting it, you grant GoiSmile a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process it for the purpose of operating the App.
You agree not to post content that:
- Is false, misleading, or defamatory
- Contains hate speech, harassment, or threats
- Contains sexually explicit material
- Infringes anyone's intellectual property
- Contains spam, malware, or unsolicited advertising
- Impersonates another person or practice
7. Reporting and Blocking
If you encounter objectionable content or behaviour:
- Use the Report option on reviews and messages
- Use the Block option in a chat to stop further messages
- Email support@goismile.com for urgent matters
We review reports and may remove content, suspend accounts, or take other action as needed.
8. Reviews and Ratings
Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. You may only review a dentist after a completed appointment through the App. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.
9. Appointments and Cancellations
- Booking through GoiSmile is a request; the dentist or practice confirms it.
- You may reschedule or cancel from the App.
- Repeated no-shows may result in suspension.
- Cancellation policies of individual practices apply to your in-person visit.
10. Payments
GoiSmile does not currently process payments. Prices displayed are set by dentists and are for information only. You pay the practice directly at the time of your visit. We are not responsible for pricing disputes — those are between you and the practice.
11. Third-Party Services
The App uses Supabase to host the database and file storage. Your use of the App is also subject to Supabase's availability and terms where applicable.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the platform, or if required by law. You may delete your account at any time from the App or via our deletion form.
13. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any dentist will be available.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoiSmile is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App — including missed appointments, dental outcomes, or interactions with dentists. Our total liability for any direct claim is limited to the amount you have paid GoiSmile in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for a free app, is zero).
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where GoiSmile's operating entity is registered. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you inside the App of any material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
